Motion

Movement of any object from one position to another  position  with resect to time and  the observer is named as Motion.

Motion Along a Straight Line:

When an object moves along a  straight line such motion is called rectilinear motion. For example; motion of a car on highway.

Vectors and Scalar Quantities:

Vector quantities are quantities which have both magnitude and direction. For examples: Force, position etc.

Scalar is quantity with which direction isn't associated. For examples: Mass, temperature, time etc.

Distance:
Actual lenght of path co puchievered by an object is called distance.
It is a scalar quantity.
Its SI unit is metre(m).
It can not be 0

Displacement
Shortest distance between Intial and final position is called Displacement
It is a vector quantity.
Displacement can be 0
             Notes:- Distance and displacment measured same in a straight line

 Uniform motion :- When an object covers equal distance in equal interval of time such motion  is called Uniform motion

Non unifrom motion :-When an object covers equal distance in unequal interval of time such motion is called nonuniform motion

SPEED:- It is defined as distance travelled per unit time
It is a Scalar quantities
SPEED=Distance/Time
Average Speed:-It is defined as total distance travelled devided by total time taken
Average Speed=Total distance travelled /Total time taken

Velocity :- It is defined as Displacement travelled pe unit time
Velocity =Displacement/Time
Velocity can be 0
It is a vector quantity
Acceleration :-It is defined as rate of change of velocity
It is vector quantity
It is denoted by symbol a
It SI unit is m/s2

Deacceleration :-
When a body decrease its speed such acceleration is called retardation or deacceleration
It is opposite of Acceleration
When acceleratiom is -5m/s2 It means body hs retardation of 5m/s2
 Equation of motion:-
There are 3 equation of motion
(i) V=u+at
(ii)s=ut+1/2at2
(iii) v2=u2+2as

(i) V =u+at

Third equation of motion
V2=u2+2as

UNIFORM CIRCULAR MOTION

If a body moves  ciin arcular path with uniform speed, then it's said to be executing uniform circular motion.
→ In such a motion the speed  remains same throughout the motion but its velocity (which is tangential) is different at each  point of its motion. Thus, uniform circular motion is an accelerated motion.
 Graph:- Pictorial repersentation of obervation is called graph
